Integrative Counsellor
Rebecca is a qualified integrative counsellor and has experience in working with individuals from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Working integratively means she uses a range of approaches to help individuals with the problems they are facing. This allows for flexibility and enables her to work with her clients in a way that resonates with them.
Rebecca is compassionate and offers gentle curiosity and challenge, acceptance, and a safe confidential space where clients are able to explore the difficulties that they are facing. She believes that therapy helps us to recognise our story and to feel empowered with how to carry it forward. This often occurs when we stop looking to the external world for cues on who to be or what might make us good enough, and instead turn this attention inwards - to learn, to listen, hear and trust our own voice.
She believes that all of us have the ability to understand and express our deepest selves, to heal and grow. The therapist is there to help remove the barriers that are in the way of this growth, and to start you on your own path of self-discovery. The relationship between client and therapist is the key to this. Rebecca's belief and experience are that through the trust that comes in the therapeutic relationship, you will learn to develop trust in yourself and in the answers that are within. This enables clients to develop new perspectives and better understand how they see themselves and their place in the world, allowing them to make changes that lead to a more fulfilling life. She is also deeply interested in the impact of reproductive trauma and the struggles people face with regards to their fertility story. Alongside this, she also works as a therapist at a charity working with adult survivors of childhood abuse.
Rebecca is a member of the BACP and holds a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. She is currently training to work with individuals who are facing or who have faced reproductive difficulties.
