Integrative Counsellor
Loraine is an experienced integrative counsellor, working with combined approaches and models she has found beneficial. She provides a warm, non-judgemental space for self reflection and exploration whilst supporting her clients to build on their resilience, resources and enjoyment of life.
Loraine offers short term and open ended counselling based around her clients' needs and expectations and has worked with clients experiencing: difficulties regulating their emotions, insomnia, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma related symptoms and stress; as well as those who wish to gain perspective on a particular area of their life and may be considering a change of direction.
Her experience includes working privately as well as for the charity sector. She has counselled professionals in the workplace, students at college and university, survivors of different forms of abuse, and within a multicultural setting. She currently offers sessions in person at the Stephenson Centre and online, and provides a free of charge 20 minute introductory phone call to help you decide if you would work well together. Loraine’s professional qualifications include a BSc and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Middlesex University and Matrix College, and UKCP registration as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. With regards to fees, Loraine offers a limited number of concessions for those on a lower income, receiving benefits or in full time education. She is also a recognised counsellor with various health insurance providers.
Prior to working as a counsellor, Loraine completed an LLB in Law and worked in the City for a number of years. She has a multicultural background and is fluent in Spanish.
